On Saturday, March 24, 2018, PAMANA president Marechiel Santos-Lang together with her husband Chris Santos-Lang met newly appointed Consul General of Chicago Gina A. Jamoralin, Deputy Consul General Romulo Israel, Jr., Philippine Cultural & Civic Center Foundation (PCCCF) executive director Gerry Ramos, PCCCF activities director Jojo Agoncillo Ramos, and Filipino American Association of Wisconsin (FAAWIS) president Mila Michaels during the Consulate General of the Philippines - Chicago Consular Outreach in Wisconsin held at the Philippine Civic Cultural Civic Center in Milwaukee. Santos-Lang helped welcome Consul Jamoralin and discussed strengthening collaboration between the institutions: Consulate, Philippine Cultural & Civic Center and FAAWIS.

PAMANA endeavors to plan events at various times of the year to introduce new connections, deepen friendships, build camaraderie and engage more Fil-Ams to family-like gatherings and social outings. The term of the board of directors begins every August 1st. Are you interested to serve on the board and help lead the organization towards advancing its mission? Do you have the time, passion for Fil-Am interests, want to be involved in advancing the Filipino culture and spirit? Do you want to champion and be a part of these committees: Communications & Membership, Scholarship, Community Outreach, Social Services, Cultural Education, Special Events Ad Hoc? Each committee sets its meeting calendar through-out the year, the board meets in person 2 to 3 times a year and interact regularly over email, conference or video calls. Sari-Sari Storybooks celebrates the quirky magic of Filipino stories by publishing picture books in Philippine languages. These beautifully illustrated stories are written for ages 5-8 years old, are bilingual in English, and come with a glossary and discussion questions. Brought to you by PAMANA and distributor Arkipelago Bookstore, we’re bringing these first three stories to Madison, Wisconsin.
