Filipinos love to get together and food is often at the center of our many celebrations.

The PAMANA Cultural Education Committee presents PAMANA Pinoy Cooking Class.

Join us for a cooking class featuring dishes and dessert from the Bicol Region on Saturday, January 12, 2019,  2:00PM to 5:00PM.  The cooking class will be held in the Badger Prairie Needs Network (BPNN) Prairie Kitchen in Verona, WI. At the end of the class, participants will enjoy the dishes, eat together, socialize and mingle. 

  • Featured dishes:  Kinalas, Laing and Maja Blanca  
  • Featured chef:  Chef Rina Courtier
    

Registration Information.    Excluding the planning committee members, the space is limited to additional 20 registered attendees. Sorry no walk-ins. Everyone attending MUST register ahead of time. Registration closes when the capacity limit is reached. 

  • Member* Registration is $5.00 per person
  • Non-Member Registration is $10.00 per person

Payments will be collected at the door.  Please plan to arrive between 1:30 PM-1:45 PM.

Registration cancellations are allowed  until Friday, January 11, 2018. If you must cancel, please login or contact us.

Support Badger Prairie Needs Network (BPNN).  We encourage participants of the cooking class to bring canned goods to donate to BPNN.  BPNN operates one of the busiest food pantries in Dane County, WI.  They offer free community meals,  nutrition education for seniors and children, hands-on cooking class in their Prairie Kitchen,  a community garden and legal advocacy to fight homelessness and level the playing field for people without financial resources.

The purpose of the PAMANA Cultural Education Committee is to promote and impart the Filipino tradition, culture and legacy by sharing practices or rituals, music, dance, food and literature through interactive presentation and activities.

PAMANA is a nonprofit organization whose mission includes fostering unity and harmony among Filipino, Filipino-American, and local communities in South-Central Wisconsin. PAMANA promotes Filipino cultural education and provides aid and assistance to humanitarian projects both in the local community and distressed communities in the Philippines. PAMANA is a registered non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting understanding and goodwill among members and the community at large through participation in social, cultural and educational activities.

PAMANA has five committees and several ad hoc commttees:  Cultural Education Committee, Membership & Communications Committee, Scholarship Committee, Community Outreach Committee, Social Services Committee, Summer Picnic Ad Hoc Committee, Christmas Party Ad Hoc Committee and By Laws Review Ad Hoc Committee.  If you are a member and are interested to serve in one the committees, contact us.
